Susanna Jablonski’s sculptures can resemble things we find in everyday life, or may consist of fragile materials processed into abstract forms. The physical structures often balance on the line of what's possible to sustain. Here, a halo of violet light hovers above a fragrant bed of dried lavender; a plant said to have healing properties. The neon circle measures 163 cm in diameter, corresponding to the artist’s body length and wingspan. A closer look reveals that the circle is incomplete, and that the two elements of the sculptures are only held together by light.
